About Interfaith One
The Interfaith One is a community of people from a variety of religious traditions, including, Christians, Jews, and Muslims. Formed in February, 2018, the community’s mission is to reduce barriers to communication and foster local dialog among individuals and families of various belief traditions in Southern California.
Interfaith One work goes to the core of our mission. One of our core teachings as Muslims is that God created us in “nations and tribes so that [we] might know one another” [Quran 49:13] and so that we might “vie in doing good deeds.” We are committed to working with people of all faith backgrounds to promote our shared values of mercy, justice, mutual understanding, and helping the most vulnerable among us.
We imagine that dialog may include these goals:
- Learning about each other’s religions
- Exploring meditation practices of each other’s religions
- Community involvement – i.e. supporting each other’s charitable outreaches
- For information about participating in this community, email us. To keep abreast of our community’s events as well as those of our partners.
